Ali works as a movement director in theatre, site-specific performance, and screen. His movement practice draws on physical theatre, yoga, postmodern improvisation techniques, and years of work and training as an actor. He works with actors and directors to create ensemble movement languages, coaches character embodiment, choreographs intimate content, leads company warm ups for safe and holistic engagement, and facilitates physical interaction with non-traditional performance spaces.
